Thanksgiving 2015

We brought Thanksgiving to Ma in Cache Valley this year.  Ma did the turkey and we brought everything else.  We had a marvelous day with great food and good memories.  

Scanlons

Scanlons!  We love when friends come to visit. Especially friends from birth!  Josh and Emma have been best buddies from infancy.  

Andrew and Alli are great buddies too. Both love to dance. 

Chef's helper

Peter helped me make a big batch of rolls.  Actually he just played in the flour with his cars while I did all the work.  Still, we both had fun!

Mess makers

Caitlin and Peter have an impressive penchant for making messes.  When the house gets quiet I go searching and usually find them up to no good.  This time it was just popcorn kernels.  

Lion King - November 2015

This year I was asked to help direct the middle school musical, the Lion King.  One director is retiring and the other has changed should so they brought me in to train me for next year.   It was such a wonderful experience!   It was a learning curve for me, and sometimes outside my comfort zone, but we put on a great production.  

Joshua ran the spotlight.  He was nervous at first but did a great job.

There were 95 kids in the cast.  That is a record and almost half of the shook population!

Costuming and makeup were amazing for this show. I sure fell in love with these great kids.

Halloween 2015

Josh and Andrew (black wizard and ninja) have outgrown me. They went trick or treating with buddies this year. 

Caitlin as Ariel - she was so excited to paint her hair red!

Pirate Peter.  He was so mad to have to go trick or treating. That is, until he saw Caitlin collecting candy from folks. Then he perked right up!

Drew is a stud. He oozes happiness.  He's clever and talented.  I love this artistic delightful boy.

Jaussis - August 2015

Jon and Carrie like to cruise.  So we get the kids!   It's always fantastically fun to have our Jaussi cousins with us for long visits.

Carrie gifted a toy ride in car to Peter.  Once home he meticulously parked it in the garage leaving Dad and his truck out in the cold.

The kids love when Mike rents a skid for a landscape job.  Andrew is getting pretty good at driving. 

First day of school - August 2015

Andrew and Caitlin are all set for a fantastic shook year.  Andrew is in 4th grade (when did he get so big?) and Caitlin is thrilled to begin kindergarten. Joshua snuck away before I could make him pose.  He is in 7h grade this year. 

Caitlin loves her sweet teacher.  Mrs. Willden.  They have the same taste in clothes.

Grandma Barlow has a sandbox just for Peter.  He is always so happy when he plays in it!  I love this kid.  He has so much personality. 

Scout camp - July 2015

Joshua's first official scout camp!  He made his sword and shield like all the other boys and they did armor of God stuff with them.  He had a marvelous time. Josh really loves scouts. 

Logan trip - July 2015

After camping in the Unitas we headed to Logan to spend some time with Ma.  We are at our favorite honest restraint - the Formosa, and bought fireworks at sams club for a 24th extravaganza.

Uinta camping trip - July 2015

This summer we took an awesome 5 da camping trip to the Unitas. We camped near the river. We hiked to the top of bald mountain.  We fished in a beautiful secluded lake. We climbed a waterfall. We did some rock crawling in the truck.  It was a great trip.
