Christopher Timothy's Wedding

This past weekent Mike and I went down to Manti to go to the garden wedding Christopher Timothy. For those of you who don't know who that is, I'm not surprised. We aren't exactly that close. but I do feel a unique tie to him. He used to be my brother, and in a way, I feel that he still is. When Chris was born, I was seven years old. I still remember the night Dad and Janice brought him home. He was my little brother. Dad and Janice divorced three years later, which took us in separate directions. He has since then been adopted by his new father, and we no longer have any legal connection. But that doesn't mean we don't still feel like siblings in a strange way.
The wedding was simple and beautiful. I'm glad I was able to go and see some people that I havn't seen in a long time. I'm glad that time really can soften some wounds.

A great birthday present

I got a new camera for my birthday. One that takes video clips with sound. To christen the thing, I had the boys sing me "Happy Birthday" in all their true-to-form cuteness.

Random pictures that need to be posted

I've gotten a little behind in my posting, so I 'm doing an all-in-one here. Picture #1: This is one of those "get the camera, don't yell" moments. I turned my back for ten minutes... and there was an inch of water in the entire bathroom! I know, it serves me right for not watching the boys in the tub. I won't make that mistake again.

Picture #2: I snapped this at the viewing of Grandpa Barlow's funeral. I thought it turned out nicely. Barlows are beautiful people, thats all there is to it.

Picture #3 and #4: The boys were so helpful when I repainted the second bedroom upstairs. It's a light blue color, and turned out very nice. We now use that room for our computer, exercise equipment and the boy's toys. The boy's bedroom now just has bedroom stuff. Halleluja!

Zoo Trip - The Aftermath

We had a great time with the Barlow clan at the zoo last Saturday. I tried to make a neat little film of the pictures, but I'm inept. So, we'll just stick with the standard format for now. Maybe my technical competency will improve with time.......that's a big maybe.

Anyway, Hogle Zoo was crouded, but very fun. Our boys had a wonderful time with their cousins, and of course, with the animals. Joshua was so excited to see the baby giraffe, and Andrew loved the elephants and aligators.

Zoo Trip!!!

Okay, I already put this as a comment on Shelly's page, but then thought won't it be easier to blog it once on our page instead of commenting on everyone else's hoping they see it? I guess I'm not the super blogger like Tony. Anyway here is the plan----

Shelly and Family, and Daniel, and Becky, and Mom and Dad Barlow, we have finally set a plan for the zoo this Saterday. We won't be able to leave Hyrum until 10 am (Joshua has his first soccer game at 9 am-- we will leave right from there). We would like to meet everyone at 12 noon and have lunch-- either in the zoo or a fast food place close to the zoo or a picnic(please vote on this and we'll decide based on what people want to do). After lunch we will go to the zoo for the rest of the afternoon until people get tired, bored, or too cold etc. We would love everyone to come and celebrate Andrew's birthday or if you don't care about his birthday, you can still come and enjoy the zoo (j/k, I know everyone cares about Anderw, I hope?). anyway, sorry it took so long for us to set a 'plan', but we do want everyone to come and have fun!

P.S. post a comment with one of the choices for lunch before Friday at 10pm. The choices are, Lunch at Zoo Concessions, Lunch at Fast Food (like McDonalds), or Picnic Lunch (in This is the Place park or Zoo). Everyone gets a vote-- even kids.

Andrew's Birthday

Happy second birthday to Andrew! Thankyou to all ya'll for the nice gifts. Andrew loves them!

We will miss our friend, Ammon Fellows. I want to share a few thoughts and memories I have for him: First of all, he valued his marriage and his wife adored him. His children idolized him, and all those who were around him couldn't resist his tenacity, even when it was grumpy. He loved to cook and treated us several times to his special recipes. I often saw him playing basketball with his boys, or boistrously enjoying an NFL football game. He was never too busy to rough house with the kids. He always supported victoria on our "girls nights," and for that I will always be grateful. This world is short by one good man tonight. To Victoria and the Kids: We love you. We miss you. We pray for you.
