Trip last fall to the San Rafael Swell with the Barlows. I was pregnant with Peter. We saw petroglyphs, visited the little Grand Canyon, and saw Dino tracks.

Almost a year behind!

So I know that all you loyal readers of the Barlow Buzz have been miffed with my lack of blogging of late. Please forgive me! I am 6 months behind in my updates, and today I realized I have pics on my ipad that need to be posted from almost a year ago! So I am posting the seriously outdated ipad pics today just to get them on the record. You know me, I get behind but I always tend to catch up. Stay tuned for all of our summer adventures, as well as pics and info of our new darling exchange student, Enikele. Love you all!


This was a trip to Hogle Zoo in 2012 summer. The bears were so social! I was very grateful for the glass!

Hillside Letter Hikes

Andrew has always been fond of letters on mountainsides.  Last fall we decided to start "collecting" the letters by hiking up to them and taking our picture at the top.  When we get home we put a pin on our map to remind us.  It has been a fun activity for Andrew and me.  So far we have hiked the Y in Provo, the FG in Fountain Green, and the M in Moroni.  We are working our way south through Sanpete County.  Here are some pics from our hike up the M.

 Zion is proclaimed the winner!  The pipper with the last intact egg!   Hoorayyy!!! and then...Grandpa gets tricky and pulls out a half dozen eggs he has been hiding.  Sneaky sneaky.  He pips Zion, and breaks her egg.   What will Zion do to vent her frustration?

 The first every Jaussi Post-pipping easter egg fight breaks out and Grandpa takes the brunt of the action.  I don't know if he has ever been so shocked in his life!  But you have to admit, he did ask for it!
