We've lived in this house for almost three full years now, and this weekend I was finally able to use my sliding glass door! I can't tell you how silly yet exciting that sentance sounds to me! I had all the framing done by Friday, so when my brothers came up on Saturday we were able to pound out the decking, stairs and benches. All that remains to be done now is railings and sealant. It is so nice to have a deck! We need to figure out something for shade though. The benches act as railings along two sides of the deck, which saves alot of space. We are loving it! The other little boy in the first picutre is Joshua's best friend Zachary, who lives next door.

i think you did something very special more significant than normal when you added on to with a deck. we waited till we were in our sixties until we did a deck. it looks as professional as it can be
Wow! Nice deck! We need to rebuild ours someday, after the fence, roof, park strip, bathroom.........
Wow it looks really nice. Like Tony said we need to redo ours. We used to stain it every year to keep it nice until we realized that it was poorly built and falling down so we are just letting it go until we can redo it.

Wow! It looks way better than mom and dads! Redwood sure makes it a lot nicer. Mom's and dad's is bigger but it is not as good as yours! You did a great job!

Wow I love the deck! The squirrels are eating ours! Apparantly they are like hanmpsters and need to chew on something to help their teeth stay short and they have found out that our deck works like a charm! We are trying to feed them in the trees to encourage them NOT to come to the deck for food and an after dinner chewing! I know you will enjoy your deck! Congrats! We have been in this house for three years now too and I feel your pain! There are many things we are still waiting to do. It just takes time with a new house! I want to thank you for how you took care of Sandy. You did a wonderful thing for my mom and Becky by taking such great care of their dog! You guys were so wonderful, you made our trip stress free so mom and Becky could enjoy themselves and not worry. I am sure it was hard taking care of two boys and two dogs but you guys really helped out by making everyones mind at ease. Thank you so much!
