How did everyone enjoy the Oprah Osmond Occasion (or OOO for short)? Laura finally understands the Barlow obsession with the Osmond family-- they are sooo cool! And, lest we forget they have made our family slightly famous (or at least 'rubbed on famous'-- i.e. Becky's 'date' with Donny!) Laura can now also say that she has hugged a man that has hugged Oprah-- Tom. That goes right up there with getting a private tour of Brisbane from Mel Gibsons cousin. But, that is a story for another time!

yes, i really have to admit that my eyes teared up through all of the show..first george who i loved so much...he was in our ward. we helped him move in and had him in high priest meetings, a wonderful man...then tommy sr. who is so sweet you almost can't believe it...he promised the wild richard that if he quit drugs donny and marie would come personally to visit him inhis home and terresa brooks was converted through him...and what a strenght at all the pageants..he would and still syas"well president is there anything we can do in the lord's missionary program?and then when we visited richard's mom and she said he tried to burn himself up in his ccar, up went tom and i to see him, and how appreciatve all were....and carolyn, and anna bannana, we saw her on the t.v. special...and little tommy how so wonderful he is to go working with doug's turkeys...i could go on and on and it looks like i have gone on and on..tom with our deaf kids, daniel is going with tom day before thanksgiving to a closed caption signing temple session...just the two of them in the first ever manti signing session with doug and bonnie as workers that day, all for the work of the lord, and when they say we will see them up in heaven, you had better belive they are an eternal family just like they told the whole world
I could only stand to watch for a few minutes, just enough to see Anna,Matt, and Tom. I can't stand Oprah.(almost as much as Reba) Really cool though!
Wow, Tony. I don't know if we could be more opposite. I love Reba! (I love you too!)
I couldn't watch Oprah, I got shot by my nurse. It was at 4:30 so I only watched the first 20 minutes of it and I saw Tom Sr. That's about it. I can't stand Oprah and Reba too. I have a lot of fond memories with Tom Osmond(fishing, etc.)
I like Oprah. She's entertaining. I thought the show was fun to watch because we all saw someone we knew on TV. I thought it was cool and you guys shouldn't give Oprah such a bad time cause she does do a lot of good in the world.
I never said she didn't do good. I just said she bugs the heck out of me. Her, Reba, Hilary Clinton, Al Gore, and the lady at Mcdonalds that I wanted to slap last month cause she wouldn't shut up.
Laura had me watch the show. Is Marie always that weird? I was really impressed with Donny. Do you realize his story is basically the same as Michael Jacksons, but he turned out normal. That is amazing when you think about it. He has really grounded himself to get married, have a family etc. Carolyn looked nervous and Matthew actually cleaned up a bit! Oprah does do a lot of good and she is very very rich-- richest woman in the world. I don't like Reba, Hillary or Al either Tony, but Oprah is o.k., as long as I only have to watch her show once every 5 years.
Mike
Is anyone in the family Cowboy fans? They looked really good today. How did the Buc's do Tony?
Mike
Yes, Brayden is a Coboys fan. They do look good.
The Bucs had a bye today, but still managed to improve their position... 1st in their division with a loss by Carlolina and New Orleans today.
Thank you Becky for defending Oprah with me.
I don't mind Oprah most of the time but sometimes she bugs me. I do also think she has done a lot of good for the world. I loved the show with the Osmonds I missed the first 15 min. however.
I was thinking the same thing as Mike about the Michael Jackson thing. It is amazing how haveing a strong foundation can keep you grounded.
I like Reba most of the time also and I love Tony too!
I don't care to much for Hilary Clinton, Al Gore, Osama, and that Lady at McDonalds was REALLY annoying.
Lets not talk football my team looks like they forgot they are playing tonight. I guess the Pat really did a number on them last week. Oh yea Tom Brady is another person I don't like. Especially now.
tom brady is a winner, is that wy you don't like him, i love reba, opra, george, tom jr. matt, anna, carolyn, tom sr., olive, tony, dan, mike laura, most mcdonald employees generallly speaking, al yankavich, dan, karma, shelly, all my grand kids, my dad, doris, kaen, rob, that guy getting a bank loan who is rob or ernesto(here is a calender for the wife)oh he isn't married, becky(EXCEPT WHEN SHE GOES ON AND ON ABOUT A LIVE TREE...HAVEN'T I GOT 26 of them), doug, bonnie, john v.,and hillary, and fred thompson for president, and john mcCain and mut just a tiny little bit, and ivys, and bruce the bird dog, and the army of four, and sadie, speeding, sandy, mandy, duke, jeri, jasper bell, bird, the rats nest under the couch and food in the computer room.........i am really an old sop, 65 years old and as mike says dizzy, loves grumps
Well, I do have a question. Who in the world is the annoying lady at McDonalds????? I have no idea who you guys are talking about. And, really guys, Oprah is not that bad. You're Welcome Laura.
I am sorry to say that I missed that episode of Oprah. I don't get to watch t.v. much anymore and now even when I want to watch something I usually forget! This time I was just so busy with the kids that I didn't have time to watch. I wanted to though. I like Oprah. (but mostly I like the OSMONDS!)
Beck I will explain. One day Tony came up with a list of 5 people who bothered him the most Reba and Oprah were at the top then some other celebrities. We went to McDonalds that day and there 3 ladies sitting in the booth next to us. One of them was talking non stop about very annoying things in an annoying voice. You could tell her friends were about to go crazy. She really was annoying!
Oh, I thought you talking about Karen King, the president of McDonalds. Ya, she's annoying too.
all that you ever see on these access shows is donny and marie now days...i guess they are going to do a las vegas show together, and they talk about this good kid of marie's that is going into rehab, and she is turning 50...and they are worried about marie toughing it out...ophra must have been good for them professionally...see you around thanksgiving. no fanfare jsust family...do you pip eggs on thanksgiving laura???
that's an Easter tradition Dad.
