Joshua was having a hard time practicing on the "black beast" piano, because the keyboard was so high in relation to the bench. The music stand was also very high, so the poor boy had to kneel on the bench and crane his neck back to read his music. I realized at that point that we just needed to move on in the world of pianos. So I worked a deal with my mom, and bought hers. It fits Joshua much better, and since I am teaching, it is a much more appropriate instrument. It also is much more attractive in our living room. As for the "black beast," I put ad in the paper and it sold in a matter of minutes. We love our new piano! It originally belonged to my grandmother, so I know it has been taken care of well. I'm fond of this new piano as well, because I have been playing on it for years! All through highschool, this is the piano I played. Now my children will learn on it. How is that for nostalgic?!

I like the new piano. I wish we had one. I don't play well but we always had one to play on and I know my kids would love it.

Nice! It's a good thing to know we all have different passions and talents.....I sure wasted alot of time practicing the piano and violin when I was a kid that I wish I had back!

..but at the same time, it might be nice to have one so if our kids were inclined that way it would be available. We have a keyboard and guitars..we just need to get Brayd going on them.

..not that it's a waste of time for everyone, of course..just for me because I had no talent and I was not so inclined...just wanted to clear that up.

Same with me Tony, I wasted about 2 years on the dumb piano, also mom's money for the piano lessons, I don't why I did it, I always hated it from day one. I guess because all of my friends were doing it too I guess. That's probably the reason why. It's not for me, but it looks like it is for Joshua, he's real good at it.

The piano is beautiful! I also learned how to play just like my ungrateful brothers (just kidding) I really wasn't very good at playing either but my mom made sure all of us knew how to play. My children are sure gifted in music and I am so glad. I love to hear them practice!

Sigh, makes me homesick. Glad it stayed in the family. I know though that you MUST get it tuned right away. :)

Tony - you are talented, so don't say that you aren't. I have always thought you were a good musician. I need to find that video of you playing the guitar. Also, I really like your piano Michael and Laura.
