class hosted a "Mother's Day Tea" party. It was so fun to sit in a tiny chair at a tiny table and watch Joshua sing his song and read his little letter about why he loves me. The children served the mothers lemonaide and cake, and gave each of us a flower that they grew in the greenhouse. Having two boys and no girls, tea parties are not the kind of thing I get to do very often -- it was a real treat!
Then the Barlows came up for the weekend and we had a great time playing together visiting together, and overeating together. We went to Daniels bike race, ate at Cafe Sabor (Mom B's favorite restraunt), watched movies in the theater, watched Joshua's soccer game, made the most delicious carrot cake ever, and went to church. Michael got me the new book by Dr. Laura about the benefits of being a stay-at-home-mom. It's like a pat on the back everytime I read it!
Sunday night we went and visited with my mom in Logan.
I love having lots of family around. It's the best thing for a mother to have the people she loves all around her!

Pretty cake!
5,894 claories for a small slit of cake times 780 slits of cake per cake equuals 4,687,320 calories for one cake at about 2000 calories per day for an average person means 2341 days or almost 7 years of your daily cloric intake just eating this one cake...i am accurate just check it a out
I love the mothers day son. it is so clever. Did the teacher make it up?
Thanks for making the cake, it was good. Joshua's soccer game was fun to watch.
Wow, lots of posts! Two cakes and a grill!! Sounds like you are livin' the high life!! Yeah, I forgot about tea parties and I only have one boy!
Nice cake..I need a book that gives me a kick in the butt instead of a pat on the back HAha.:)
So many new posts-which reminds me, I still need to the the wedding. Well, I must say seeing mothers day things makes me tear up (I'm a real sap.) The cake does look fabulous, of course my favorite thing about carrot cake is the cream cheese frosting. The grill is beautiful-we have one similar on our wish list, but we need a patio first, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)
