I had the amazing opportunity to go to Ohio two weeks ago to visit my friend Victoria. For thsoe of you who frequent my blog, you already know her tragic story. I had decided to go and visit, planning to put the trip on the credit card, when a mutual friend (Emily) called and offered me a free airline ticket. She is an angel! I was able to stay for five days. We had alot of tears, alot of adventure (Victoria wrecked the minivan on the way to pick me up from the airport) and surprisingly, a lot of good times.
Ohio now tops my list of "most beautiful places I have ever seen" list. I fell in love with it while I was there. Victoria describes it as a "green that I've never seen before" Everything is just glowing with fertility. I could easily live there.
We went to the fun park where we did go carts and mini golf. We visited the YMCA, the toy store, a few fast food places, malls, and not surprisingly, church. Some things don't change no matter where you are in the world. But I think my favorite parts of the trip were the times we spent in Victoria's appartment just hanging out. We made a quillow for Brooklyn, we sang and played the piano together, and we had a killer pedicure/chocolate/chic flick night. Victoria, I'm home sick for you already. Is all that chocolate gone yet? Or have you been good?
