This one is fairly self explanatory. I had the basketball hoop set up on a kitchen chair so Andrew could reach it. I left the room for two minutes, and this was the result. It was one of those "grab the camera" moments.

Jaussis on the river

These are from May - The Jaussi clan came up for a weekend visit and we went down to the river path by the golf course. I love the picture of Carrie's belly. (Baby Bella is a few weeks old now and just beautiful) I always enjoy taking pictures of my photogenic nieces.

May, June, July.

it's time to confess: I am a yo-yo blogger. Whew. Now that I have that out of the way I can get down to the dirty buisness of updating you'all on all the amazing and wonderful activities and adventures that our family has taken part in over the last three months. I have a slew of fantabulous pictures to go along with everything too! So chances are you've had to look through all of them just to get to this ranted explanaition. Just off the top of my head, here is a list of things I just have to share with you:
--father's day
--the park renovation and grand opening
--potty training
--Visiting Canadians
--4th of July
--Zacharies Baptism
--Durango
--Jaussi Cousins
--Landscaping updates
--Manti Pageant
--Dinosaur Museum
and I am sure that more will come to mind as I go. So there it is. A tantalizing taste of what is shortly to come! Hopefully I can get ont he ball enough to catch up before something else blogworthy gets added to the list. Luckily, there are no birthdays coming up in our immediate family until December!

Mother's Day 2009

I had a delightful mother's day this year. It started off when Joshua's kindergarten

class hosted a "Mother's Day Tea" party. It was so fun to sit in a tiny chair at a tiny table and watch Joshua sing his song and read his little letter about why he loves me. The children served the mothers lemonaide and cake, and gave each of us a flower that they grew in the greenhouse. Having two boys and no girls, tea parties are not the kind of thing I get to do very often -- it was a real treat!

Then the Barlows came up for the weekend and we had a great time playing together visiting together, and overeating together. We went to Daniels bike race, ate at Cafe Sabor (Mom B's favorite restraunt), watched movies in the theater, watched Joshua's soccer game, made the most delicious carrot cake ever, and went to church. Michael got me the new book by Dr. Laura about the benefits of being a stay-at-home-mom. It's like a pat on the back everytime I read it!

Sunday night we went and visited with my mom in Logan.

I love having lots of family around. It's the best thing for a mother to have the people she loves all around her!

I Have a Happy Husband

New grill.
Twice as much cooking space.
Plenty of meat in the freezer.
Need I say More?

Joshua's ridin' high

Joshua has been riding with training wheels for three years now. He has had no problem with balance, but because his training wheels still occasionally made contact with the road he had convinced himself that he wasn't ready to ride without them. Well, today he came home in a really good mood after playing with friends, so I quickly took off his training wheels and took him back outside. He was a little hestant, but cooperative. Within two minutes he was pedaling around the block! He can even start and stop by himself, and make tight corners. I knew he could do it, but it was fun to see his sense of self pride elevate with the accomplishment. He's really proud of himself, and I amproud of him too.

April Babies

In April little Andrew turned three, and I (Laura) turned twenty nine! Happy birthday to the April Babies! We took Andrew to Chucky cheese for an inpromptu party with the Scanlons, but he was grumpy the whole time from sleeping in the car. The rest of us had fun though. For my birthday Michael and Joshua made me a beautiful cake and I recieved some really nifty kitchen gadgets.

It's so nice to be doted on - thank heavens for birthdays!
