One of our kids split his eylid open and had to get stitches..Owen I think. I think Brayden was the split head..It looks like it hurt! I am glad he didn't have to go to the emergency room.
Poor little guy looks like it hurt. He is so cute. Yea Tony it was Owen who got 3 stiches in his eyelid when he was about 18 mo old. No fun. I hate trying to decide if you need to go or not. Brayden's was easy there was a 2 inch gash all the way to his skull. And he just hit the wall when he was running. It is funny the simple things that can do so much damage. Falling out of the top bunk is a big thing though.
We were getting our coats, shoes on etc. to go to the emergency room when the bleeding stopped. At first it was gushing pretty bad and it looked to be about 1" long so we thought for sure he would need stitches. I was amazed that it stopped so fast. I guess Andrew just has thick blood-- it fits right in with his thick skull! by-the-way, he is still trying to climb up everthing and has fallen severel more times since.
Boys especially never learn to stop climbing (or doing whatever it is that hurts them.) At least our boys never learn they get hurt on a daily basis and we keep telling them that if they don't stop doing what they are doing but they don't care.
I'm a boy and I keep do things that hurt me before. I just try to do it better without getting hurt again, like learning from my mistakes. Also to fight against fear.
We almost didn't take Owen to the E-room his eye had closed up also, but we were a little concerned, because it was right on his eyelid, that if there was other then superficial damage then his eye might never look right so we thought we had better get it checked out.
Laura!! I was thinking about you guys and wondering if you had a blog - so I googled your name and it brought up one of your relatives blogs and I found you! I'm not going to stalk you I promise, I was just wondering how you guys were! So fun to see you have a blog and now we can keep in touch. Your little guys are growing up so fast. Our family is supposed to be growing by one more any day now! :)
Laura, did you get my message about playing the piano at Braydens Baptism? Would you be able to? He wants "When Jesus Christ was Baptized" and "The Holy Ghost" out of the childrens song book.

You see me stop using a nail gun? I just learn and be more careful now.

I would love to play at Brayden's baptism. Those songs should be fine, so count me in!
I just wanted to thank everyone for coming to the baptism, we appreciate those that were asked to participate! Everyone did a great job.
