Well it's not 'Snips and snails, and puppy dog tails', but it's pretty darn close! Joshua's 'collection' includes discarded cat claws (collected by Grandma Jaussi), a tarantula exoskelton, a crab exoskelton, and finally a crawdad exoskelton (all pets we own). He has already decided that when Spring comes he wants to start collecting discarded bird feathers. It was only with great relutance that he allowed Laura to throw away the exoskelton left over from a motling cricket kept in our tarantula's food habitat. We just have to draw the line somewhere, don't we?

Gross! That is a fun collection though. You are so mean to not let him keep the cricket. HeHe
I hope you keep his collection OUTSIDE!!! YUCK! I guess it is a boy thing. I am so glad I have girls.
Outside?!?! oh no, never for these precious items, we keep them just above the kitchen sink!

what is the differance between a skeleton and an exoskeleton?????
A skeleton is the hard framework (bones) on the inside of your body, and an exoskeleton is the hard framework on the outside. Spiders, and crabs etc. have thier skeletons on the outside with all the soft tissue underneath. so when thier 'bones' grow they need to shed the old smaller 'bones'.
