Other adverse effects, 10% Local: growth of Candida in the mouth, irritation and burning of the nasal mucosa. Heat should be used only to denote energy that can be transferred from one place to another. It is also important to realize that energy can be transfered between two systems even when no heat flow takes place. For example, two sticks rubbed together creates additional heat in each stick.
